Wecap wallet and KYC

Wallet, KYC, and the withdrawal timeline — verified, not invented.

Wecap's wallet carries deposits, contest entry, and withdrawal. KYC gates the first withdrawal. This page documents the PAN, Aadhaar, UPI, and bank-linking steps, and the T+1 to T+3 settlement norm on first withdrawal.

What you need, and why.

Customer care →

PAN

Permanent Account Number. Required at sign-up. The name on PAN must match the name on the bank account that handles withdrawal. Mismatch is the single most common KYC hold-up.

Aadhaar

Required before the first withdrawal. Aadhaar can be uploaded as an XML (the masked download from uidai.gov.in) or as a masked image of the card. Full Aadhaar is never stored.

Bank account

Required for withdrawal only. The IFSC, account number, and the name on the account are verified against the PAN. Penny-drop verification confirms the account is live.

UPI handle

Used for deposit and (where supported) withdrawal. UPI handles are linked to a bank account; withdrawal to UPI returns to the linked bank handle.

Selfie verification

A live selfie is captured at sign-up to match against the PAN photograph. The image is hashed and stored against the account, never shared.

Re-verification triggers

Ninety days of inactivity triggers re-verification. A change of device, mobile number, or email triggers re-verification. Withdrawal to a new bank handle triggers re-verification.

Withdrawal timeline

What to expect, in plain numbers.

First withdrawal

T+1 to T+3 after KYC re-verification. The first request always triggers KYC review. Subsequent requests on the same bank handle complete faster.

UPI withdrawal

Twenty-four hours on most banks. The withdrawal returns to the same UPI handle used for deposit, where supported.

Bank transfer

T+1 to T+2 on most banks after the first verification. IMPS on supported banks completes within thirty minutes during business hours.

Withdrawal cap

The operator sets a per-transaction cap and a daily cap. Verify inside the app under Wallet → Withdrawal. The desk does not publish a static cap.

Common hold-ups

Why withdrawals queue.

PAN-bank name mismatch

The single most common cause. The name on PAN must match the name on the bank account to the character. Re-submit the bank details or update PAN records first.

Aadhaar not verified

The first withdrawal requires Aadhaar. Aadhaar XML or masked image accepted. Full Aadhaar is never accepted. Verification completes in fifteen minutes typically.

Bonus rollover incomplete

If the withdrawal is partly bonus-derived, the bonus rollover must be complete. Unfinished rollover holds the bonus portion until the rollover clears.

Inactivity re-verification

Ninety days of inactivity triggers re-verification. Withdrawal requests during re-verification queue until the re-verification completes.

Restricted state

If the account moves to a restricted state, withdrawal still completes for prior balances, but new contest entry is blocked.

Bank downtime

Most banks have a short nightly maintenance window. Withdrawals placed during that window queue for the next business morning.

FAQ — Wallet and KYC

Six short answers about verification and withdrawal.

How long does KYC take?

PAN verification at sign-up is instant. Aadhaar verification takes fifteen minutes typical. Bank linking takes one to two working hours during business hours.

What documents do I need?

PAN (required at sign-up), Aadhaar (XML or masked; required for first withdrawal), bank account details (for withdrawal), and a live selfie for photograph match.

Why is my withdrawal pending?

Most pending withdrawals are KYC re-verification holds. The first withdrawal always triggers re-verification. Subsequent withdrawals on the same bank handle complete faster.

Can I withdraw to a different bank than I deposited from?

Yes, but the new bank handle triggers KYC re-verification. The first withdrawal to a new bank handle runs the same T+1 to T+3 timeline as the first withdrawal ever.

What is the withdrawal cap?

The operator sets per-transaction and daily caps. Verify inside the app under Wallet → Withdrawal. The desk does not publish a static cap.

Is my PAN data safe?

Wecap uses audited KYC partners. PAN is stored hashed against the account. The KYC partner's storage is SOC-2 audited. The desk has no access to the underlying KYC data.
