A first-week playbook

What to do in your first 7 days on Wecap: build your first team, read the points rules, and join a practice contest. A beginner-friendly walk-through.

A young grassroots cricket fan watching from the sidelines.

The first week is about learning the platform. Practice contests are free; the desk publishes a captain pick before every fixture; the app carries OTP sign-in and KYC. Here's the playbook.

Day 1 — Install and sign up

Download the Wecap app from the Play Store or the official APK on /apk-download/. Verify the SHA-256 of the APK before installing. Sign up with mobile OTP; complete KYC with PAN.

Day 2 — Read the rules

Open /how-to-play/ on the desktop desk. Read the scoring table, the salary cap, the role split, and the captain and vice-captain multipliers. Read /fantasy-cricket/ for the glossary.

Day 3 — Read the desk

Open /cricket-predictions/ for the day's fixture card. Read the pre-match read. Look for the surface colour, the grass cover, the venue history, the toss hinge, and the captain pick call.

Day 4 — Build your first team

Pick a fixture. Build an eleven inside the 100-credit cap. Use the 4-3-1-3 split. Choose a captain and vice-captain. Read the desk's reasoning before locking.

Day 5 — Join a practice contest

Practice contests are free and capped daily. Join one. Lock the team before the toss. Watch the live signal stream during play.

Day 6 — Run a second team

Build a second team for the same fixture. Use a differential captain. Compare the standings during play. Note where the picks diverge.

Day 7 — Read the editorial archive

Open /blog/. Read the captain pick framework, the pitch report reading, and the salary cap math. The long reads anchor the rest of the season.
